Postscript: Happy binary new year

Standard

 On the brink of yet another binary year I thought I’d have a look what how 2011 will add up (figures taken from here).

01.01.11  = 23

10.01.11  = 39

11.01.10  = 55

01.10.11  = 27

10.10.11  = 43

11.10.11  = 59

01.11.11  = 31

10.11.11  = 47

11.11.11   = 63

I freaked out someone recently with my driver’s licence expiry date which is 11 November 2011.  Some people are easily freaked.

HAVE A GREAT NEW YEAR!

  1. My Birthday is October 11 and I realized that in 2010 and 2011 it could be interpreted as a binary number. Here we write the month first so my birthdays are as follows:
    2010 101110 or 46
    2011 101111 or 47

    Oddly, I will turn 46 in 2010 and 47 in 2011.

    • Incredible that you should have birthdays that correspond to those binary codes. I don’t even want to work out the probability of that!

      Have a great birthday it will be a special twice in a lifetime event.

  2. The same thing happened to me too. I was at a store, wrote a check and they write your license expiration # on it and she looked at me and did a double take and asked, “Did you know your license expires 12-12-12???”
