Postscript: Spring…and council donates to my garden

Standard

Council’s bounty has arrived and inbetween the 30m ecalyptus and the hayfever inducing (though lovely) acacia there was a new arrival.

Maidenhairs grown in sheltered places away from wind and rain but where it’s cool and damp.  Their tiny green cloud-like leaves tremble on black branches even in the slightest breath.  They are an outstanding plant indoors of course and may people think they’re not natives.  But they are, they grow wild in my backyard and I’ll happily take a few more to boost their numbers.
